This website

fame.proxaslab.com is a static site. We do not set any cookies of our own. No analytics scripts, no consent walls, no third-party widgets.

Our hosting provider's edge may set short-lived __cf_bm and cf_clearance cookies for bot-management / DDoS-protection, as it does on every site behind its network. These are the provider's, not ours, and they're scoped to that purpose only. See Cloudflare's cookie policy for detail.

The matata browser extension

The extension declares the cookies permission. It uses it to read cookies for the origin of a file the user is about to download — so authenticated downloads (logged-in pages, session-gated content) still work after the matata desktop app fetches the file itself. The cookies are forwarded only to the locally-installed matata application via Native Messaging (a local OS-level pipe) and never sent to any network endpoint we control.

The extension does not set any cookies of its own, and does not modify the cookies your browser already has.

The desktop app

The desktop app reuses the cookies the extension forwards (above) to issue HTTP requests with the same auth context as your browser. The cookies live in memory only for the duration of the download — they're not persisted to disk in any matata file.

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

We respect DNT: 1 and Sec-GPC: 1 by default — but since we run no analytics or tracking in the first place, there's nothing to opt out of. Sending these signals from your browser does no harm and we don't change behaviour based on them.
